[Xena grabs the chain and tosses it down just in time for Varia to grab a hold of it, and pulls her sorry butt back onto solid ground.]
Xena: "Alright, Varia, come on."
Varia: "You saved me."
Xena: "For the last time. I'm not going to waste energy protecting someone with a death wish."
Varia: "But I thought you made a pledge to Marga."
Xena: "Because she saw something in you."Xena: "Look … if you don't want my help, that's your choice, but just know that your sisters will live or die by what you decide to do."
Varia: "Xena … I know that I can learn from you, and I know that you've helped my people. I shouldn't have said what I did about you."
Xena: "Varia, you almost died in there rather than admit defeat. You've got to learn when enough is enough and the fight's over."
Varia: "Yeah, but you … I'll work on it."
Xena: "Good."
[Xena and Varia ambush one of Prince Morlock's men, who happens to be carrying a keg of some liquid (and I'm guessing it's not beer).]
Varia: "Whatever this is, one drop of it will make a nice bonfire."
Xena: "Is that right? Now, we'll find out exactly what we need to know."
Varia: "What can we find out when he's got a gag on?"
Xena: "Exactly who's hunting Amazons out of season."[Prince Morlock's goons find their poor ambushed buddy tied half way up a tree and gagged.]
Goon: "I don't know how he got up there, but someone has to get him down."
Varia: "What about that tall one?"
Xena: "He's not the leader."
Varia: "How about that other guy?"
Xena: "Couldn't hunt butterflies."
Varia: "Why won't he show himself?"
Xena: "Be patient. He'll play his hand at some stage."Morlock: [observing the girls from a higher vantage point] … "You could be right, Raczar. She's a clever one."
Raczar: "She's in the perfect position to strike, but she doesn't."
Morlock: "She doesn't want them. She wants me."
Varia: "What is it?"
Xena: "Something's not right. Varia, this is when you get to do exactly what I say when I say it."
Varia: "Just say the word."
Xena: "Get ready to take your clothes off."Raczar: "That's the weapon she used to attack us. It flies like it's got a mind of its own."
Morlock: "I'll add it to my collection."
Raczar: [the girls stand up and walk out of sight, a few moments later, Xena emerges] … "Where'd the other one go?"
Morlock: "I don't care about her, I want this one … Where's her weapon? Something's not right."
[Xena, clad in Varia's clothes, comes up behind a man watching Varia, who is in Xena's leathers. She chucks her chakram at him only to find out that he's not the man she's looking for.]
Morlock: "Bravo. Come on in." … [enters nearby cave]
Varia: "Alright, let's go."
Xena: "Where do you think you're going?"
Varia: "I'm going in there to help you."
Xena: "No. We had an agreement, remember? Stay here."
Morlock: [from a hidden niche] … "If I had known how much fun you Amazons would be, I'd have come to this country years ago."
Xena: "I'm not an Amazon."
Morlock: "But you're so tall."
Xena: "It's the boots."Morlock: "I don't usually do this, but I'd like to know your name before I kill you."
Xena: "You first."
Morlock: "I'm Prince Chesnick Bloodicarr Morlock, Upper Scheherazadestan."
Xena: "Xena of Amphipolis -- Warrior Princess, Warrior Mom … who conquers Prince Chesty Forlock of Whatever-stan."[Morlock tosses his trusty triangular thingy at Xena, who easily dodges it.]
Morlock: "Impressive. Very impressive."
[Tired of waiting outside, Varia enters the cave.]
Xena: "Those Amazons you murdered were good friends of mine."
Morlock: "I'm not a murderer, Xena. The gods make some men poets, and they make some men seers. They made me a hunter."
Xena: "A hunter hunts animals, not people."
Morlock: "In this world there is only the hunter and the hunted."Xena: "Varia! Get down! … Varia!"
Morlock: [having found Varia first] … "You're not worth adding to my collection."
